First, paint your nails white
For this manicure I painted my white base the night before I added the textured gold to this nail design. This is because you need to be 100% certain that your base is dry when you are using striping tape or you risk some smudges a flaws.

Then, randomly add some striping tape
I attached several striping tape pieces to my nails aiming to make parallel lines. I think white and gold will work great for a wedding day in various shapes so go with your imagination if you are not keen on the geometric precision parallel lines will leave you with.

Last, add a full coat of your opaque gold color
OPI Honey Ryder worked great for this wedding nail art idea. It is a one coater and gives this beautiful textured final look which makes this nail design unique. I added a single layer and immediately removed the striping tape without waiting for the formula to set. I find it is much easier to achieve a clean line when you are fast with this procedure.

To keep the textured look, do not add any top coat and simply wait for your bridal nail design to dry.

Thanks for having a look at my textured white and gold wedding nails tutorial, I hope you enjoyed!

Hello nail art lovers!

Today I have a super easy and very straightforward nail art tutorial for you. This is another leopard nail design, you would expect it from me :)

To get these fun nails simply paint your nails white, add some blobs of different color to each nail and then outline them with black. I guess you can play with base color and leopard skin color to get a different look each time and this nail design is so easy that it variations are worth the try.

Hello nail art lovers!

I am happy to show you my first successful gradient nail art try. I have attempted the gradient ombre nail design several times but all results came out disappointing in my opinion. This time I changed my approach a bit and must admit I love the final effect!

Here is what I did.

First, paint your nails white
Start your gradient ombre nail art with a white base. This way you will make sure colors will be vibrant and true. I have 2 coats of Essie Blanc. Tip! Try to keep base color a mm away from your cuticles. This will help you cover every white spot with color later and not worry about white showing close to cuticles.

Then, blend your colors on a regular makeup sponge and transfer on nails
For my sunset gradient ombre nails I used OPI Kiss Me On My Tulips as my pink, Essie Navigate Her as my orange and China Glaze Metro Pollen-Tin as my yellow.

Tip! I got the best result when I applied the lightest color first on the makeup sponge. For this design I needed 2 rounds of color transfer to cover the white base and blend colors.

Last, add a glitter top coat
To finish of this sunset gradient nail design, I added a thin coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust. Tiny sparkles play with light and make any blending imperfections less visible. If you, like me, have not yet mastered the gradient ombre nail technique, I strongly suggest to use a sparkly top coat to conceal any areas you are not fully happy with. Just make sure your top coat is not loaded with too much shimmer and will not cover your main idea in glitter completely.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope to show you more successful gradient ombre nails soon!

Hello nail art lovers!

Today I have for you the easiest  monochrome striped nail art ever! To get this design simply paint your nails white and when your base is absolutely dry, add a few stripes to get the geometric nails effect. Finish off with top coat to seal the design together and prevent the striping tape from peeling off.

I used my usual Essie Blanc to get the white base flawless. I painted the base color the day before I added the stripes because this way striping tape designs are 100% smudge proof.

That was my easy monochrome nail art idea, I hope you enjoyed!

Hello nail art lovers!

First, paint your nails white
Start by painting your nails an opaque white color. I love white for brides + I find it very easy to decorate. For this bridal nail design I used 3 coats of my favorite Essie Blanc.

Then, add silver striping tape
Silver striping tape will make these wedding nails look exquisite and elegant. Cut 10 pieces of self adhesive nail art striping tape. Adjust stripes to your nails as it they will indicate where a French tip would start. Cut the excess edges with scissors. Tip! Paint your base color the day before you will add striping tape in order to avoid any smudges and be able to play with it with no risk to ruin your flawless base.

Last, add top coat
Add a good layer of high shine top coat to make sure your striping tape stays in place. Tip! Pay special attention to cover all nail edges so that tape won’t start peeling off.

This was my super easy wedding nails idea, I hope you enjoyed!

Hello nail art lovers!

This is another post from my Stamping ABC post series! I have a chameleon color base with stamped peacock feather detail.

Dance Legend Chameleon nail polish in Sully
First, I’d like by showing off my stunningly beautiful color base – this is Sulley by dance Legend, one of the 6 shades featured in the brand\s Chameleon nail polish collection. It is a multi chrome formula, changing shades between teal/aquatic and pink/purple depending on how light hits your nail surface.

For my swatches below I applied it over black and wore it for 3 days with no chips.

Peacock feather nail art stamp
I couldn’t stand to add peacock feather to this color as it kind of kept calling for them :) I used my MoYou London The Pro image plate for the feather detail and my Black stamping nail polish from Konad. I played with the design a bit and added a different feather part to each nail. I love how this one turned out. Add a top coat and enjoy!

Hello nail art lovers!

I had great fun with the post of today! ModCloth invited me to take part in a nail art challenge where dress designs are interpreted into nail art and if I get selected by their media team my design will be showcased on the ModCloth blog. I loved the idea and rushed to choose between over 3000 summer dresses on their website and found this chick polka dot beauty :) My nail design follows, stay with me to see how I made it.

The Chic Dress in Polka Dots

I love the dress, I think it is super cute and capturing its design in nail art was simple and fun!

First, paint your nails white
Get your white base done and dry. You might take a look at my How to make white polish work tutorial for the best result.

Then, add polka dots
Using different color to match the Chic dress in polka dots design, add polka dots to your white base. For my design I used the round head of a pin, cleaning it between color on a cotton pad soaked in nail polish remover.

Last, add your favorite top coat
Finish off with top coat to smooth your design and also help dots from fading too soon. Your dots have only one layer of color and are also different nail polish formulas (unless you used the same nail polish brand for all of them). I had a layer of my favorite Essie Good to Go to help drying and increase shine.
