Hello lovelies!

Today I have for you another idea how to cheat the marble nail art and get the marble effect without water :)

To get these no water marble nails you will need 2 colors of your choice and a needle.

Easy needle marble nail tutorial

First, paint your base color
I chose white and salmon pink for my base colors. You need one thin layer of your base color. This technique works best with opaque formulas. After your first thin coat is dry, go ahead and apply a fat coat of the same color. Tip! Do one nail at a time to make sure your marble will blend beautifully.

Then, add a few drops of your second color while the base is still wet
I added the no water marble design for three of my nails. Spot large spots of your second color on your wet base. Do not attempt them to be perfect circles, it would not add to the final result.

Then, drag a needle across your nail while nail polish is still wet
I use the needle length to drag into the wet mixture of colors. This way it will not leave deep marks into your design. Tip! As nail polish dries, it becomes less flexible and your needle will start dragging some of the color with it, so be quick :)

Last, add a layer of top coat to smooth your marble even more
Adding a layer of top coat will also conceal any areas your needle left without enough color.

To finish off the design, I added micro beads to my little finger and thumb. I used a drop of clear  nail polish to attach them.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed!

Hello lovelies!

Valentine’s Day is approaching! I am always happy on Valentine’s day because it reminds me that no matter if your are single or taken, love is all around. You can find it in your dearest friendships, your adoring dog’s eyes, in the morning air, your spouse embrace, your sibling’s smile. Special day wishes are not my strongest side so I will just wish for you to love and be loved ♥

I chose black for my Valentine’s day manicure because I had chosen stones and pearls previously and I thought they would look great on a black canvas. And they do, needless to say much better in person than in pictures.

Valentine’s Day nail design with jewels

This design how to is pretty obvious, just paint your nails and embellish them with jewels to add luxury to your nail design. Jewels and stones on nails are a little difficult to wear as your nails will eventually start falling apart… I go t invited to take part in Brilliant Earth’s Create a Little Love campaign and creatively spell out the word LOVE so that was my additional inspiration to use stones. Tip! Do not use real diamonds on nails as you are most likely to lose them :)

Spread the love and thanks for reading!

Hello nail art lovers!

Today I am happy to share with you an embellished party manicure. It has pink and baby blue, it has stones, it is girly and perfect for going out and having some fun. I love how the various stones make this nail design somehow creatively messy, like a teenage girl room :)

How to make embellished girly nails?
This is a pretty straightforward nail art. Paint some of your nails pink and some of them blue. I chose pastel nail colors for the doll like vibe they bring and for how easy pastel colors are to combine together. Then add the stones :)

The key to this manicure are the stones you will use to embellish it. Chose different types and sizes to achieve the messy nail art look. You can use pearls, stones, little beads, you can play with colors and basically recycle your nail art stones leftovers. This is what I did with a bunch of embellishments I had not used in some previous nail designs but did not want to throw away.

It is not necessary to use some special glue to attach stones to your manicure. It is ok to add a tiny drop of clear nail polish and then press the embellishment onto your nail art. Tip! Nail art decorations with flat back will attach the easiest and will stay longer on your nails.

Hello nail art lovers!

I have wanted to combine blue and gold for some time. This color combination reminds me of a circus tent I went to as a child to watch an amazing circus show. So I will show you a nail design I created featuring these colors. I am not sure which is the main color here, blue or black but I still love how this manicure turned out. It is pretty obvious how the design was put up together but I will put a few words on the process and give some tips. That’s what I do, right :)

First, paint some of your nails blue and some of them black.
Paint your nails with these two colors. For this manicure I have two coats on as the colors I used are not sheer formulas and have good coverage. Make sure to leave some nails clean so that you will add the gold accent to this nail design.

Then, add gold.
You can use any gold color you have and love. The gold I used for this manicure is a textured nail polish with a clear base so I had some difficulties to build it up enough. Have in mind that using glitter is the hardest way if you wish to achieve full coverage in particular.

Last, add metal studs.
To finish this manicure I added some metal studs at the base of blue and black nails. I like how the gold hue of my studs complement the gold nails in this design. I attached the studs using a drop of clear nail polish. If your embellishments have a flat base you do not have to necessarily use a special glue or any other tool to stick them to nails.

Hello everyone,

Today I want to share with you another wedding manicure I created. It is a classic French manicure embellished with tiny gold and silver beads. This will be a rather straightforward tutorial regarding the nail design but I will take some time to tell you my favorite and easy way to apply embellishments to nails.

Paint your nails a nude color.
You can play with the color and chose your favorite shade which will complement your skin tone. I chose a classic natural beige shade and applied 3 coats to achieve an allover color instead of a see through look.

Add the French tip.
This nail design is based on the classic French manicure. Add a white tip to all your nails using guiding stripes. We have discussed how you can use DIY guiding stripes made by regular tape but for this manicure I would suggest to get original French tip guides. This is because original French tip guides are slightly curved to match your natural nail shape, plus we will be looking for perfection, it is a special day after all :)

How to add gold and silver nail jewels.
I used tiny nail art beads you can find in nail art supplies shops as well as online. You know I do not use nail art glue to stick embellishments to nails. I also do not use any picking tool, my technique to position the beads is very easy, just read on.

+ put some gold and silver beads on a towel. This way they would stay in place and won’t start rolling everywhere
+ add a thin coat of clear nail polish at the base of your French tip
+ press your finger on the beads, some of them will stay on it
+ press your finger with the beads onto the clear nail polish line

This is a clean and easy way to attach all kinds of tiny embellishment to your nails. With practice it gets easier and you will be able to control the result to perfection.

Last, add a fat top coat.
To seal the design together, apply a gel look top coat. I have tried using thinner formulas, but they do not grasp the little embellishment as well as fat ones.

White: Essie Blanc
Top coat: Rimmel London 3D Plumping top coat
Beads: gold and silver

Hello lovelies!

I am happy to share with you another wedding nail art design. These are easy DIY bridal nails which still have that extra something to make them special enough for the big day. Read on to see how I created this wedding manicure.

First, apply a pale pink shade to your nails.
I chose pale pink for this design as it is different from the classic natural wedding nail color but still very romantic and mild. Sometimes pale colors are not very pigmented so you may need to us an extra coat to get even and thick nail coverage. For this design I put 3 pink coats.

Last, add luxury :)
I decorated 3 nails with different sized crystals, pearls and silver studs. You do not need some special tools or glue to attach the embellishments. I use a toothpick and a tiny bit of clear polish to pick and stick the details. I believe randomly attached embellishments hold the charm of this design. Still, if you prefer you can attach them using the same pattern for each nail.

Jewels, pearls and studs can be taken from various places and you do not need to look for nail art supplies in particular. You can find tiny embellishments at the haberdashery counter, your local crafts store, even get phone decoration stickers from a dollar store and tear them apart to use the gems for wedding manicure :)

Hello everyone!

Welcome to the fourth post from the S/S 2014 nail trends thread. Today we will admire two nail trends for the upcoming 2014 as seen on fashion week runway shows: stripes and jewels.

Stripes nail trend
We will have a lot of stripes for spring summer 2014 season. You may go for a single line or multiple stripes, it does not matter which, it will be 100% fashionable. You can have even more fun mixing the nail trends and decorate your nails with metallic lines.

Jewels on nails trend
I must admit I have always been a fan of rhinestones on nails as jewel decoration literally transforms nails from nails to Wow! nails. It may seem a little impractical to have three dimensional jewels on but the look of your manicure will be totally worth it! On fashion week runway shows jewels appear in combination with natural base colors and have the maximum impact.

Here is a sneak peek at my next nail trends post: playful nails.
