Hello lovelies!

Lately I have been totally hooked to the half moon nail trend. I love it, it has tons of options for interpretation and I thought it would be fun to include the half moon detail into a wedding nail design. So I will share with you how my half moon bridal nail art turned out and tell you how I made it.

First, add the half moon.
This wedding nail art was meant to be delicate and I wanted colors to have a gradient line instead of a harsh one. So I painted the half moon part first, using an opaque soft pink shade and some guiding stripes. I may have mentioned this in my color block half moon nails tutorial, it is important to remove the stripes while nail polish is still wet. This way it will not leave a deep mark into your design.

Then, blend with a sheer pink.
After you have done your job with the guiding stripes and the half moon detail is ready, paint your nails with an sheer pink color. It will still be lighter where you have no polish on but will blend the half moon within the nail color and make it look more gentle and subtle. By this point you already have a feminine and classic manicure :)

Last, add a gold line.
I added a gold line where the two pinks meet to embellish the nails a little more and to give this wedding manicure some additional sparkle. I love how delicate this gold detail looks! If you are using a glitter gold like mine, it would be best to skip the top coat as it may steal away some of its shine.

Hello everyone,

Today I want to share with you another wedding manicure I created. It is a classic French manicure embellished with tiny gold and silver beads. This will be a rather straightforward tutorial regarding the nail design but I will take some time to tell you my favorite and easy way to apply embellishments to nails.

Paint your nails a nude color.
You can play with the color and chose your favorite shade which will complement your skin tone. I chose a classic natural beige shade and applied 3 coats to achieve an allover color instead of a see through look.

Add the French tip.
This nail design is based on the classic French manicure. Add a white tip to all your nails using guiding stripes. We have discussed how you can use DIY guiding stripes made by regular tape but for this manicure I would suggest to get original French tip guides. This is because original French tip guides are slightly curved to match your natural nail shape, plus we will be looking for perfection, it is a special day after all :)

How to add gold and silver nail jewels.
I used tiny nail art beads you can find in nail art supplies shops as well as online. You know I do not use nail art glue to stick embellishments to nails. I also do not use any picking tool, my technique to position the beads is very easy, just read on.

+ put some gold and silver beads on a towel. This way they would stay in place and won’t start rolling everywhere
+ add a thin coat of clear nail polish at the base of your French tip
+ press your finger on the beads, some of them will stay on it
+ press your finger with the beads onto the clear nail polish line

This is a clean and easy way to attach all kinds of tiny embellishment to your nails. With practice it gets easier and you will be able to control the result to perfection.

Last, add a fat top coat.
To seal the design together, apply a gel look top coat. I have tried using thinner formulas, but they do not grasp the little embellishment as well as fat ones.

Hello lovelies!

I am happy to share with you another wedding nail art design. These are easy DIY bridal nails which still have that extra something to make them special enough for the big day. Read on to see how I created this wedding manicure.

First, apply a pale pink shade to your nails.
I chose pale pink for this design as it is different from the classic natural wedding nail color but still very romantic and mild. Sometimes pale colors are not very pigmented so you may need to us an extra coat to get even and thick nail coverage. For this design I put 3 pink coats.

Last, add luxury :)
I decorated 3 nails with different sized crystals, pearls and silver studs. You do not need some special tools or glue to attach the embellishments. I use a toothpick and a tiny bit of clear polish to pick and stick the details. I believe randomly attached embellishments hold the charm of this design. Still, if you prefer you can attach them using the same pattern for each nail.

Jewels, pearls and studs can be taken from various places and you do not need to look for nail art supplies in particular. You can find tiny embellishments at the haberdashery counter, your local crafts store, even get phone decoration stickers from a dollar store and tear them apart to use the gems for wedding manicure :)

First, paint some of your nails a natural shade and some of them white.
I chose to place the design on both ring fingers as well as on my right thumb. Ring finger will be shown off with your new wedding ring, when holding the bouquet and thumb will show when you give your signature at the ceremony. My water decal is a beautiful rose on a white base, so I painted these three fingers white. Paint all other fingers a natural color for a romantic look. This nail art looks best if your natural color is thick and not sheer. Applying more coats will make it look thicker and smoother. I love how the natural shade complements the roses and makes this design look completed.

Then, place water decals on your white nails.
Check out my tutorial to see how to create water decals nail art.

Last, seal your design with top coat.
With water decals I prefer using a long lasting top coat. This gives you some extra insurance that design will stay intact after days, easily more than a week.

Hello dear nail art lovers!

Welcome back to my Concept nail art column to admire some amazing wedding nails. For the big day every detail matters and nails are a crucial part of a bride’s look. Classic wedding looks go for plain pastel colors or the always appropriate white tip. The examples of wedding manicure we will admire together in this post are more or less on the bolder side with acrylic lengths, 3D decoration and crystal sparkle. My favorite bridal nail designs include French manicure and crystals. Pastel pink is also a beautiful base for wedding nail designs.
